I use these interchangeably, because I use projects to decide what I want to accomplish.

Most New Year’s Resolutions are short lived, and fall by the wayside. Life’s demands and our own habits will kill all but the most resolute resolutions.

How Do We Make Lasting Goals?

Lasting goals are accomplished by being specific. Define exactly what you want to accomplish. After you know what you want to accomplish, then break the goal into steps.

When you are dividing a goal into steps, then you will want to be specific about the steps you divide them into.

Reviewing Old Goals

It is also a good time to evaluate previous goals and projects. Sometimes as life changes you will realize that goals that were important are not as important as they were. It is best if you recognize the decrease in importance of these goals, and let them go.

You may also find that some older goals are still important, but over time they got forgotten about. Now is a great time to recommit to completing those older goals.

In conclusion, now is a great time to decide on new goals, and also it’s a time to recommit to older goals.
